Averaging more than a dozen years of wine collecting experience, each member contributes unique insights based on their diverse backgrounds and tastes. Members not only have passion for fine wine but also for cooking, dining and travel. Varesko, President, Ecendant Interactive Tasting Philosophy & Format - Broad Perspective, Blind TastingWe started the group as an alternative to both the amateurish "Wine 101" and the stodgy, narrowly-focused "Bordeaux & California" tasting groups. We wanted a group where we could freely explore various wine regions from around the world and focus on newly-released wines in order to make informed buying decisions. A theme is determined and one of the members is charged with the responsibility of choosing the wines and the meal to accompany the wines. The wines are served blind and at the end of the flights they are revealed. A meal is served and the wines are re-evaluated to determine how they paired and how the wines are transformed with food.
