September 26, Washington, DC—Adlyfe selected as one of fifteen companies to present before an audience of venture capitalists and industry professionals at 2006 Mid-Atlantic Bio: The Conference for Industry and Investors. The company investment presentations are a unique component of the premier annual gathering of the mid-Atlantic region's entire bioscience community, which also features a variety of sessions on business, policy and scientific topics. The conference will take place October 10-11 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC.
September 18, Adlyfe Presents at FDA TSE Advisory Meeting. Adlyfe Inc. was invited to present at the TSE Advisory Meeting held by the FDA on Sep 18, 2006. Dr. Kent Lohman, Vice President of Assay Development, presented an overview of Adlyfe's misfolded protein detection platform and the demonstrated use of PronucleonTM ligands for the early, presymptomatic detection of disease in both animals (Sheep scrapie, Bovine Spongiform Encephelopathy) and humans (Creutzfeldt-Jacob). Adlyfe Inc. is a biotechnology company located in Rockville, MD focused on early diagnosis and more effective treatment of neurodegenerative disorders correlated to misfolded amyloid proteins.
September 18, Adlyfe welcomes Dr. Michael Little as Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Little brings to Aldyfe nearly 20 years of experience and knowledge of the diagnostics and biotech industry. His background spans the continuum from basic technology development to product development to business. During his 16 years at BD, he was an inventor of BD's proprietary DNA amplification technology (SDA), was the Program Manager who brought to market the first FDA-cleared real-time DNA amplification instrument (BDProbeTecET), and was the WW leader for the molecular diagnostics business. His previous industrial experience includes product development roles at BioRad and Baxter Healthcare.

March 1, Adlyfe welcomes Dr. Kent Lohman as Vice President of Assay Development. Dr. Lohman brings to Adlyfe 15 years of commercial experience in advanced diagnostic and assay development at companies including 454 Life Sciences, PE Applied Biosystems, and Becton Dickenson. Dr. Lohman has lead technology into profitable, market ready systems of reagents, instrumentation and software. Previous to joining commercial industry, Dr. Lohman spent 7 years in academic research programs in infectious disease at Yale University School of Medicine and Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research. He managed critical programs within the Federal Government for both the Department of Defense and the Department of Energy. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and is author on patents covering a variety of marketed technologies based on novel molecular and cellular mechanisms.
